Late last year, I discovered downtown Cleveland's Erie Island Coffee café when I met a new friend there for espresso. Arriving early, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with my latte and cozied up into a spot midway between the entrance and bar. Fortunately, the extra time allowed me to enjoy its diverse gallery of artwork. I thought it would be the perfect place to exhibit my pieces. A couple conversations and less than a week later, I was in hanging my giant dog series, a couple Yellowstone inspired paintings (Harry Buffalo and Grizzled Perfection), and three panels of my square flower series. Since that time, I added a few other paintings (all of which are for sale and ready to walk out the door with an espresso in hand).
If you're in downtown Cleveland, check it out. There are other artists with fascinating pieces on display (and available for purchase). The café is toward the middle of the Fourth Street restaurant and music scene (not far from Michael Symon's Mabel's and Lola Bistro).
